Make Registration form

Intermediate Intermediate tutorials require familiarity with basic web design concepts, as well as basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

To enable customers to create accounts for themselves while shopping on your store, you can create an (optional) customer registration form:

1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings, then click Checkout (or press G S C):
2. Scroll down to the Customer accounts section.
3. Check Accounts are optional and click Save.

   Now you will have to include a link to the customer registration form page. You can place this code in any of your liquid templates. For this example, we are going to put it next to the "Log in" link in our theme.liquid file.

4. From your Shopify admin, click Online Store, then click Themes (or press G W T):
5. Find the theme you want to edit, click the … button, then click Edit HTML/CSS.
6. Click theme.liquid to open it up in the online code editor.
7. In the online code editor, locate the 'Log in' code.
8. Place this snippet of code next to it:

9. Click Save

Reminder

You might want to make a few design changes to the customer registration page. In order to make this page fit in with your shop design, you'd need to make a few additions or changes in your 'style.css.liquid' file.

2. In the Templates folder, look to see if your theme already has a "customers/register" template. You can make changes to this template by clicking on it to open it in the online code editor. You can also edit the look of your customer/register template through your CSS stylesheet. You can find your CSS stylesheet in the Assets folder.

3. If you don't have a customers/register template, click on the Add a new template link.

In the drop-down menu select customers/register.

4. Click Create template.
